The Hedberg’s have had Siberian huskies in their household for over 30 years. They started entering dog shows after the breeder of their red female Siberian convinced them that this husky had potential in the show ring. One thing led to another and they were bitten by the bug. They traveled to local fairgrounds for weekend shows in a motor home with the license plates “HSKYBUS”. Gail and Kent both learned the nuances of grooming and dog handling for the show circuit.  Their good friends, dog show instructors and breeders also had custom license plates “HSKYBUS” on their Nevada rig. They all shared great times on the road to the finale. Kiana became a champion, and a few years later retired after taking 1st place in the veteran bitch class at the national specialty show. Using the names Keeshan, Kiana and Noel helped them to come up with the kennel name Shanoki Siberian Huskies. Today, Holly is carrying on the tradition of ‘Hedberg’s Happy Huskies’ from a breeding in 1999.
